Sebastopol Cajun Zydeco Festival 2014 Enjoy world-class Zydeco music and mouthwatering Cajun fare at this popular annual event, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sebastopol Sunrise. For one day only in September, dance, feast, and sing along to amazing, popular bands including Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic, Mark St. Mary, Sean Ardion & ZydeCool, and Creole United-the Cajun super group! The sun might be high that day, but you can stay cool under the shade of the covered wooden dance floor. The Festival is held in Sebastopol's Ives Park, known for its lush redwood trees. In between dancing your socks off, grab some authentic Cajun-Creole food, featuring gumbo, red beans and rice, gator sausage, barbecue, and oyster shooters. Save room for sweet treats like watermelon, shave ice and ice cream. And what's a Zydeco festival without some libations? Margaritas, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. In addition to great music and great food, vendors will be on hand selling jewelry, art, crafts, and other specialty items. Tickets at the gate are $25. Purchase them in advanced on the website for $22 plus a $1 handing fee [http://www.winecountrycajun.com/tickets.shtml]. You can also buy tickets are Forestville Pharmacy. Children 12 and under enjoy free admission, and there's a playground in the park. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the Festival. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
