The Barbara Bull Memorial, Sebastopol Memorial Lawn Cemetery Walk
Annual Sebastopol Memorial Lawn Cemetery Walk If you're longing for an evening of excitement and drama that promises something different than your average night of entertainment, this is the event for you. It's certainly no ordinary after-hours walking tour through a cemetery. On this night, participants will learn about the lives of some of the cemetery's residents by watching six staged portraits. These theatrical vignettes will provide a unique window on what life was like in the Sebastopol of the past. There will be four presentations given each evening on Oct. 10 and 11, at 5:30, 6:15, 7:00, and 7:45. Tickets for the 5:30 p.m. shows are $30. All of the other shows are $35. Admission includes a dinner of soup and salad prior to the performance, as well as a deliciously scrumptious homemade dessert and coffee at the Luther Burbank Farm afterwards. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information, call 707-823-0884. Proceeds from the Barbara Bull Memorial-Sebastopol Memorial Lawn Cemetery Walk go to supporting the Western Sonoma County Historical Society and its projects. The Historical Society founded the West County Museum, which is located in the Railroad Depot. It also saved the remnants of Luther Burbank's Experiment Farm in the 1970s. The Historical Society recognizes those who work to restore or preserve historical structures and architectural gems with its annual preservation awards.
